The challenge

Earlier this year, we invited Australia’s boldest thinkers to answer one big question:

How would you use Australia’s most powerful public AI supercomputer to address our nation’s biggest challenges and opportunities?

The ResetData AI-F1 Competition called on innovators across health, housing, technology and sustainability to imagine what sovereign AI could do for Australia.

What was at stake

AI-F1, our sovereign AI Factory in Melbourne’s CBD, is powered by 1,024 NVIDIA H200 GPUs. It represents a breakthrough national asset, making enterprise-grade AI available onshore and on demand.

One winning project was awarded up to 200 billion tokens valued at approximately $1 million to bring their AI-accelerated vision to life.

Selection criteria

Entries were judged on:

  • Sovereignty: keeping Australian AI data and IP onshore

  • Impact: making the biggest difference in health, housing, technology or sustainability

  • Readiness: technology maturity and ability to scale quickly

  • Capability: strength of the team to maximise sovereign AI resources
